Mine fields
Mine fields are one of the most effective early defenses. They can stop entire divisions of early infantry that does not posses armored vehicles. Should be built early on to deter early raid attackers.
Strengths: Very cheap early defense Indestructible – after battle the minefield is restored to full strength.
Weaknesses: They take huge space that can be used for constructing other buildings Their attack power is very limited and even the first Tank divisions can overcome them easily
Bunkers
Bunkers are very useful for strengthening the line of defense early on as well as later when divisions can use the extra firepower that the bunkers can provide. They do not require upkeep and restore up to 75% of their strength after battle so they are very cost efficient to the attack they provide.
Strengths: Very cheap early defense as well as good auxiliary firepower to defending divisions Restore up to 75% of their strength after battle
Weaknesses: Extremely vulnerable to attack aircraft, if there is no AA protection they can be very easily decimated Not very effective against 3rd generation military units
